Heat Shrink

Heat shrink tubing is especially beneficial for bundling and harnessing groups of wires while providing an extra layer of insulation for the wiring. Additionally, it can be used for wire splices where it vastly improves strength at the splice. Connectors, plugs, and damaged wire insulation can also all be secured and protected with heat shrinkable tubing.

Key Benefits And Capabilities:
  • Shrink Ratios Up To 4:1
  • Recovery Temperatures From 420 °F (215 °C) to 650 °F (343 °C)
  • Working Temperature From 392 °F (200 °C) To 500 °F (260 °C)

Convoluted Tubing

Convoluted tubing (also known as flexible conduit) protects and helps manage wiring that must be placed into cramped compartments or be maneuvered around tight bends and corners. Convoluted tubing provides the key protection against abrasion in these applications and insulates against extreme temperatures of both the electrical system and external environment.

Key Benefits And Capabilities:
  • Standard And Extra-Flex Available
  • Resins Available: PTFE, FEP and ETFE
  • Colors: Natural & Black

Spiral Cut Tubing

Spiral cut tubing (also known as spiral wrap or spiral cable wrap) allows wires, cables, and fiber optics to be “broken out” anywhere along the cable or wire run to reach connectors, sensors, and other fittings. Spiral cut tubing is both expandable and flexible making it easier to navigate bulky wire or fiber optic bundles through confined spaces. Similar to convoluted tubing, spiral cut tubing provides protection against abrasion helping to preserve the wiring’s primary insulation. Spiral cut tubing is also favorable during maintenance, overhaul, and repair as it allows for easy installation without taking apart existing harnesses and electrical systems.

Key Benefits And Capabilities:
  • Ordered By Fractional Sizing
  • UV Resistant
  • Left- Or Right-Hand Spiral Cut

Drawn Fiber

Drawn fiber is a high performance monofilament that can be braided directly onto wiring during manufacturing or can be woven onto sleeves that can be placed over wiring to organize and protect these systems. Drawn fiber adds abrasion and chemical resistance and reduces fatigue upon the wiring. This braiding provides an extra layer of protection to extend the life cycle of harnesses and reduce the frequency of system maintenance.

Key Benefits And Capabilities:
  • Sizes (OD) From 0.002″ (0.051 mm.) To 0.040″ (1.016 mm.)
  • Rectangular And Square Profiles Available
  • Tensile Elongation And Shrinkage Can Be Tailored Upon Request

Multi-Lumens and Custom Profiles

Multi-lumen and custom profile tubing are special extrusions made to fulfill specific customer needs. Multi-lumen tubing provides multiple channels within a single tube that allow multiple wires and optical fibers to be passed within them. Multi-lumen tubing is often used to orient electrical wires and fiber optics within the tube to match a receiving connector.

Custom profile extrusions are extrusions with specialized outer surface features such as blades, ribs, or other unusual geometries. These custom profiles are typically used for applications that require cabling or fiber optics to pass through a shaped opening. Alternatively, custom profile tubing can be used to fill an oversized opening or conduit while holding the wiring or optical fiber firm and without vibration.

Key Benefits And Capabilities:
  • High Lubricity
  • Tight Tolerance
  • Customizable To Meet Specific Needs
