Our coatings and sheathings are designed to have minimal influence upon optical fibers to help maintain the highest quality sensing data.


Reinforced Optical Fiber

PEEK Reinforced Optical Fiber

PEEK reinforced optical fiber provides excellent abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and radiation resistance at high temperatures. PEEK also offers excellent strain transfer for accurate sensing. PEEK reinforced optical fiber is available in multiple fiber types including single-mode (SM) and multimode (MM) as well as SM and MM pure silica core (PSC) versions.

Loose Tube

PEEK Extrusions

PEEK tubing provides a loose tube (also known as furcation tubing or sheathing) to house optical fibers and fiber optic cables. PEEK is a strong yet lightweight alternative to many other materials and provides high temperature tolerance, strength, impact protection, and radiation resistance.

Strain Management


Dual-Shrink™ is our special bilayer heat shrink that combines two polymers in one to create a moisture-proof solid encapsulation for fiber optics and sensors. Dual-Shrink™ is available in two configurations: a PTFE / FEP (outer / inner) version and a low-temperature FEP / EFEP (outer / inner) version for parts that cannot tolerate the higher recovery temperature of PTFE. Dual-Shrink™ can be used to strain lock sections of optical fiber or minimize strain at the connector or boot.
