Scoring is the process of creating a partial or light slit on the outside of the tubing wall that runs either axially along the tubing length or around the circumference. Axially scored tubing is more easily removed from devices following its primary use or when used as a manufacturing tool. Tubing scored around its circumference is used in tear-away applications.
