Much like our Heavy Wall tubing, this fractional sized tubing is ideal for many industrial applications where high pressure and abrasion resistance are required. This tubing possesses all of the beneficial properties of fluoropolymers which have made them a preferred material for a broad spectrum of uses today.

Zeus extrudes Industrial Wall (fractional sized) tubing for applications requiring a more robust wall thickness than traditional standard wall or thin wall tubing. This thick-walled tubing is ideal for fluid handling where higher pressures are needed as well as for applications involving air handling and transport which demand heightened functionality. Zeus Industrial Wall tubing can be made from a variety of resins including PTFE, FEP, PFA, and ETFE. We can color the tubing for branding purposes to allow end users to differentiate between tubing lines on a single device. With most fluoropolymer resins, we can color the tubing to make it opaque or retain some degree of translucence for optical clarity. Our Industrial Wall tubing is also suitable for several other value-added services such as forming retractable coils as is commonly used in air lines for pneumatic tools and similar uses.

We extrude our Industrial Wall tubing in various lengths which typically range from 25-250 feet (7.6-76.2 m). With melt resins such as FEP and PFA, however, we can extrude products from these resins in lengths ranging from 500-1000 ft (152.4-304.8 m). We can also provide these tubing products cut to length or in continuous lengths as coils or on spools.

For wall thickness, we can extrude Industrial Wall tubing in thicknesses ranging from 0.015″ (0.381 mm) to 0.040″ (1.016 mm) depending on the inside/outside diameter combination for your application. • APPLICATIONS

Aerospace – Industrial Wall tubings are more durable than their more typical thinner-walled counterparts; this added dimension allows them to better endure the rigors of the environments encountered in aerospace applications where external pressures are commonly encountered reduced causing increased internal pressures. Depending on your choice of polymer construction, industrial wall tubing can possess extremely high strength for protection of cables and wires or for fluid transport.

Automotive – Industrial walled tubing is also suited to a variety of areas for automotive uses where lubricity, chemical resistance to fuels, and strength are required; these applications can include break lines, pneumatic actuator line, power steering hoses, just to name a few.

Energy – For the oil and gas industry, Zeus industrial wall tubing delivers excellent protection for probes, cables, and other devices while offering polymer options with excellent flammability ratings.

Fluid Management – For this application, customers choose our industrial wall tubing when they need added burst pressure. This type of tubing lends itself to a variety of fluid managements applications where strength is the primary concern.

Fiber Optics – Industrial walled tubing may be your best suited option for protection of delicate fiber optics for particularly harsh conditions or exposures. Industrial walled tubing provides an even greater element of abrasion protection as well as strength.

Laboratory – Our industrial wall tubing is highly suited to laboratory plumbing where high pressures are often encountered such as with larger chromatography systems or for hoses connecting gas cylinders. Our industrial wall tubing also prevents the tubing from collapsing for applications requiring a vacuum.

  • KEY PROPERTIES

Strength – Available in multiple resins, Zeus industrial wall tubing allows you to take advantage of the benefits of fluoropolymers while giving you the option for a significant upgrade in strength through increased wall thickness. The added wall thickness also increases the burst pressure of the tube.

Increased burst pressure – For areas such as oil and gas exploration which may require large volumes of fluid flow or down to laboratory size tubings where very high pressures are common, Zeus industrial walled tubings provide the added burst pressure you need for your application. The ability to tolerate higher burst pressures is also a preferred feature for aerospace applications where tubings are exposed to external pressures less than atmospheric creating increased internal pressures.

Abrasion resistance – The polymer resins we use to make industrial walled tubing are all extremely tough and provide a superior resistance to abrasion for protection of fragile wires and cables or other sensitive materials.
