Zeus Expands Portfolio with New PET Sub-Lite-Wall™ Heat Shrink
New PET Sub-Lite-Wall™ Heat Shrink Delivers Versatile Performance for a Variety of Medical Device Applications
Orangeburg, S.C. – (August 19, 2026) – Zeus, a global leader in advanced polymer solutions and catheter manufacturing, today announced the addition of PET Sub-Lite-Wall™ heat shrink to its growing portfolio of products designed to support the manufacture of advanced medical devices.
For decades, Zeus has supported medical device innovation with a broad range of heat shrink solutions, including PTFE, FEP, and FluoroPEELZ™ peelable heat shrink, engineered to deliver precision, protection, and process efficiency in both vascular and non-vascular device manufacturing. The introduction of PET Sub-Lite-Wall heat shrink expands that portfolio, giving device manufacturers another high-performance option for complex catheter construction.
“Many of our customers already rely on Zeus for multiple components within the catheter build,” said Suresh Sainath, Chief Technology Officer at Zeus. “PET heat shrink is a widely used tool in catheter manufacturing, and by bringing it into our portfolio, we’re allowing customers to source another critical element of that system from the same trusted partner. The result is greater confidence in quality, consistency, and performance across the entire device assembly.”
Zeus PET Sub-Lite-Wall heat shrink combines super-thin walls, high tensile strength, and excellent dielectric properties to deliver versatile performance across a wide range of medical device applications. The material can be used as both a functional component and a manufacturing aid, helping device manufacturers improve assembly precision while maintaining tight device profiles.
“When working with ultra-thin materials, consistency and process control become absolutely critical,” said Mike Evers, Director of Commercial Marketing at Zeus. “With PET Sub-Lite-Wall heat shrink, we’re bringing Zeus-level precision and quality to the thinnest wall constructions in our portfolio. That means tight tolerances, reliable performance, and a high level of support for customers who can’t afford variability in their manufacturing process.”
Zeus PET Sub-Lite-Wall heat shrink is highly customizable and can be produced with nominal wall thicknesses as low as 0.00025″ (0.00635 mm), depending on ID, and with wall tolerances as low as ±0.0001” (±0.0025 mm). Expanded inside diameters range from 0.018″ – 0.390″ (0.457 mm – 9.906 mm), supporting tight-tolerance assemblies across a wide range of catheter sizes and profiles.
