Jason Fant, Zeus Industrial Products’ Global Market Manager for Fiber Optics, and Matt Davis, Luna Innovation’s Lead Research Engineer discuss thermally stable PEEK coating for fiber optics.
Zeus applied PEEK polymer to optical fiber using an enhanced proprietary coating process. This new coating process was aimed at producing improved thermal stability with reduced attenuation in the fiber. Partnering with Luna, Zeus’ PEEK coated optical fiber was tested for several performance characteristics and through broad temperature fluctuations.
PEEK, long known for its superior temperature performance, presents a tempting coating option for optical fibers. Historically, high temperature concerns have limited the use of many fiber optics coating in these environments. Join Zeus and Luna in this webinar where we discuss the performance of Zeus’ PEEK coated optical fiber highlighting not only fiber performance but also the effect of Zeus coating upon the fiber.
Zeus’ history and reputation of partnering with manufacturers and research and development groups is long well-recognized. Today, companies – whether well-established or start-up – know that when they come to us, we deliver!
