ORANGEBURG, SC –  Zeus, Inc., the world’s premier producer of fluoropolymer tubing, today announced that it will be unveiling a line of Thermoplastic tubing at the MD&M East show, scheduled for June 15-17 in New York City.

The line consists of Polyamide and Polyamide Co-polymer Thermoplastics, including Zytel®, Grilamid®, Vestamid®, Rilsan®, Pebax®, and nylon 6/6, 11 and 12. The primary markets for Zeus’ new high performance TPE product line are next-generation diagnostic and interventional catheters and other medical
applications calling for advanced precision tubing.

The complete line of single, multi-lumen and lay-flat nylon tubing solutions will be displayed in Booth #1337, Hall B, along with the Company’s fluoropolymer tubing solutions and value-added services.

Bob Jennings, vice president of Medical Sales and Marketing, made the announcement, saying the significance is not that the Company had added TPEs such as nylons to its portfolio of precision polymer extrusions. Instead, it’s what Zeus is doing through advanced materials science with a material that some perceive to be a staple of
the medical device industry.

"Our team of polymer scientists and engineers have customized the properties of common nylon resins through proprietary processes and materials modification technologies. We have enhanced the inherent characteristics of nylon to give our customers tubing with more strength, more surface smoothness, more stiffness and/or
more flexibility. This all adds up to more options for customers looking for performance beyond that found in off the shelf nylon tubing," Jennings said.

Jennings added that Zeus will design custom nylon tubing solutions for demanding catheter jacket applications. Customers are assured of samples with a quick turn-around and clear, informative technical support.
