“This is an integral part of our commitment for growth in China,” says President and COO John Worley.

This announcement follows the 2006 construction of a new facility in Letterkenny, Ireland, Zeus’ first internationally-located production site. The company also has sales offices located throughout Europe.

“Our goal with the China office is to support our current customers and develop new customers as the regional economy expands. In fact, one of the main reasons this was done was to provide better sales service to our growing customer base in China,” says Zeus International Sales Manager Andy Robertson. He adds that the new office will handle every market currently serviced by Zeus.

Managing the new office will be Howard Yu, who has over 15 years of professional experience in the plastics and medical industries, including over 10 years of solid extrusion processing experience. This includes five years dealing specifically with intravascular medical device tubing. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering from Chendu University of Science and Technology in Chendu, China.

In addition to its office in China, Zeus has nine facilities on six campuses in North America and Europe, making it among the largest volume producers of precision polymer extrusions in the world.
