Since its development in 1935, Nylon tubing has found a home in many areas of everyday life including the automotive, aerospace and medical industries.  Today, the family of Nylon resins has expanded to meet the demands of a wide array of custom applications.

Our product portfolio encompasses engineered Nylon resins such as Zytel®, Rilsan®, Grilamid®, Vestamid®, Pebax® and others, giving our customers more choices in advanced performance Nylon tubing.

While we have many Nylon tubing offerings, where Zeus really excels is custom applications. We regularly partner with customers to develop new products or seek enhancements of existing products.

Our team applies a wealth of resources to conceive and then produce tubing that meets individual project specifications. These resources include our technical sales team, Research & Development, state-of-the-art analytical and test labs, a generous sample program, and multiple facilities in North America and internationally.

Our Nylon tubing solutions are available in a wide range of made-to-order sizes, properties, and extruded forms. These forms range from ultra-thin Sub-Lite-Wall® tubing to long continuous lengths of precision Lay-Flat tubing.

Even challenges such as multi-lumen bump tubing used for high precision minimally invasive surgical devices are within Zeus’ capabilities.

Nylon 6/6

Trade Name: Zytel 42A & ST801

Characteristics 

  • Good abrasion resistance when compared to nylon 6
  • The strongest aliphatic nylon
  • The addition of glass fibre improves stiffness
  • Better low temp toughness than Acetal, PBT, or nylon 6
  • Good fatigue resistance

Suitable for:


Nylon 11

Trade Name: Rilsan® B

Characteristics

  • The strongest aliphatic nylon
  • Good abrasion resistance when compared to nylon 6
  • The addition of glass fibre improves stiffness
  • Better low temp toughness than Acetal, PBT, or nylon 6
  • Good fatigue resistance

Nylon 12

Trade Name: Grilamid® L25, Rilsan® A, Vestamid® L2140, Grilamid® TR55 & TR55LX

Characteristics

  • Lowest water absorption at approximately 2% at saturation
  • Translates into good dimensional stability and electrical properties
  • Tougher than nylon 11, comparatively low density
  • Good chemical and stress crack resistance
  • Very flexible grades available
  • Amorphous grades offer more translucence. Can be colored in transparent & opaque colors

PEBA

Trade Name: Pebax® 7233, 7033, 6333, 5533, 4033, 3533

Characteristics

  • High elastic memory
  • Tougher than nylon 11, comparatively low density
  • Available with Shore D hardness range from 35-72
  • Broad spectrum of mechanical properties
