PVDF, ECTFE, and THV are three high performance resins in the fluoropolymer family. Resins in this family are characterized by a number of similar properties including: excellent chemical resistance, high continuous service temperature, lubricity, and chemical inertness.
PVDF Tubing is often referred to by its trade name, Kynar®. It was designed primarily for applications requiring excellent chemical resistance, high levels of purity, and superior mechanical properties. PVDF is often used as a lining or protective barrier in chemical industry applications. More information on the properties of PVDF resin can be found in our Technical Services section.
ECTFE Tubing has become a popular choice for applications requiring excellent barrier resistant properties. Products made from ECTFE have excellent mechanical, chemical, and electrical properties. More information on the properties of ECTFE resin can be found in our Technical Services section.
THV Tubing is a Terpolymer of Tetrafluoroethylene, Hexafluoropropylene and Vinylidene fluoride. THV is the most flexible fluoropolymer available and has the highest degree of optical clarity. Combined with the traditional chemical and environmental resistance of fluoropolymers, THV is an ideal choice for many applications. Download our THV information sheet here. More information on the properties of THV resin can be found in our Tech Info section.
