Fibers are a staple in today's petroleum, aerospace, automotive, pulp paper, and food processing industries. In the most challenging environments, Zeus fibers maintain their exceptional physical properties under high levels of mechanical stress, extreme temperatures, and aggressive chemical exposure. When braided into a sleeve, the sleeving provides extra abrasion, heat, and chemical resistance in cramped spaces, such as engine compartments, and keeps wire bundles safely away from moving equipment.
Due to the extreme chemical resistance of Zeus fibers, these materials can be woven into meshes to be used as filters in aggressive chemical environments and as a mist eliminator to filter the moisture out of vapors. Whether being braided into a wire harness for aerospace or automotive use, or woven into a mesh for chemical filtration, Zeus fiber is unmatched in terms of performance and value.
Zeus’ standard offering includes fibers made from PEEK, PFA, FEP, ETFE and ECTFE but customized fibers may be developed upon request.
Hydraulic Hose Over-Braid Fiber braided directly over the OD of hydraulic hoses to provide an extra layer of abrasion and chemical resistance and improve burst pressure. Braided Sleeving Fiber is commonly braided into a sleeving used to loom wires and and keep them organized and protected. The sleeving provides extra abrasion, heat, and chemical resistance in cramped spaces and keeps wire bundles safely away from moving equipment. The fiber can also be braided directly over wire bundles to make custom wire harnesses. Braided Cord / Twine Fiber can be braided into cords or twines of various patterns. These are commonly used in the petroleum industry as lacing cords to keep wiring securely tied inside of submersible pumps. Woven Mesh Fiber can be woven in a variety of patterns and with great precision to make meshes. Due to the extreme chemical resistance of Zeus materials, these meshes are commonly used as filters in aggressive chemical environments where other polymers would fail and metals would corrode. These meshes can also be used as mist eliminators to filter the moisture out of vapors. Conveyor Systems Fiber can be woven into ribbons (sometimes referred to as suction tape) to form conveyor belts for the pulp paper and food processing industries. By thermo-forming the fiber into spirals and "locking" them together with a straight length of monofilament (known as a pintle pin), fiber is integral in forming the joint that holds the two ends of ribbon together, making it an endless belt. Strings Zeus Fiber can be used for both instrument strings as well as racket strings. Zeus materials are able to withstand the mechanical stresses caused by use in such applications, and Zeus can customize the physical properties of the fiber in order to give them the responsiveness and "feel" desired by both athletes and musicians. Brushes Fiber is used as brush bristles in both medical and industrial applications. Due to its outstanding chemical and abrasion resistance, Zeus fiber ensures brushes will have a long life in even the most hostile environments.
