The question is often raised as to what is the minimum bend radius of a specific size of tubing.
The bend radius is established primarily by three different factors: diameter, wall thickness, and resin.
Zeus
prides itself in its sample
program through which we work with companies to find the right material and perfect size.
As a general guide, however, we have performed a series of bend tests that
we hope will guide you in determining the size that is most suitable for you.
The following is a guide to the bend radius of our PTFE Industrial Wall (.030) tubing
(based on a minimum of 36" lengths):
* Note:
As a rule of
thumb, the bend radius is 1/2 the
diameter at
room
temperature.
